Scripture Anchor

“I pray that God, the source of hope, will fill you completely with joy and peace…” — Romans 15:13 (NLT)

Soul Talk

At first, heartbreak takes your breath away. But then—slowly—hope starts breathing again. Quietly. Carefully. And before you know it, you’re smiling at a sunrise, laughing at something small, feeling light for the first time in weeks.

That’s not you “moving on.” That’s God bringing life back into your soul.

“I pray that God, the source of hope, will fill you completely with joy and peace…” (Romans 15:13, NLT). He’s not asking you to fake it until you make it. He’s filling you with what you couldn’t generate on your own: real hope.

This isn’t the kind of hope that ignores the past. This is the kind that says, “God is still working.” It’s grounded. Rooted. Breathable.

You don’t have to know every step ahead. You just need to let hope in again—and let it carry you forward.

Let’s Talk to God (Prayer)

Dear Lord Jesus,
Thank You for being the source of hope—not just a distant promise, but a present peace. I’m tired, but I’m also ready to breathe again. Fill me with Your joy, Your peace, and Your strength. Teach me to trust You with what’s next.
In Your precious and powerful name, Jesus Christ, I pray, Amen.

Key Questions to Reflect On

  • What are some signs that hope is beginning to return in my life?
  • Am I afraid to feel joy again—why or why not?
  • What would it look like to move forward in hope, not just survival?

Soul Work

Write a “hope list.” Name three things you’re believing God can still restore.

Then pray over that list—not with pressure, but with trust. Ask God to fill you with the kind of hope that doesn’t disappoint.

Key Meditation Scriptures

  • Isaiah 40:31 (NLT)“But those who trust in the Lord will find new strength.”
  • Romans 5:5 (NLT)“And this hope will not lead to disappointment.”
