“He has sent Me to comfort the brokenhearted…” — Isaiah 61:1 (NLT)

Soul Talk

Healing rarely comes all at once. Sometimes we want God to wave His hand and make the pain vanish—but instead, healing unfolds over time. A little peace here. A soft word there. A deep breath that doesn’t feel like drowning anymore.

You might be frustrated because you’re still crying some days. You thought you were over it, and suddenly you’re not. But that doesn’t mean you’re failing. It means you’re human.

God isn’t disappointed by your slow healing. He has sent Me to comfort the brokenhearted (Isaiah 61:1, NLT). Comfort doesn’t always mean instant change. Sometimes it means sitting with you in the tension—gently reminding you that you’re not alone.

So let Him comfort you today—not by rushing you past the pain, but by reminding you of what He already carried to the cross. Your healing was purchased through His wounds (Isaiah 53:5), and now you’re learning to walk in what’s already yours. It may take time, but you’re not starting from scratch—you’re moving forward from victory.

Let’s Talk to God (Prayer)

Dear Lord Jesus,
I wanted to be further along by now. I wanted the pain to be gone already. But I trust that You’re still working—even when I can’t see it. Help me stop judging my healing. Help me welcome Your comfort in the little moments. Thank You for staying close, even when I feel broken.
In Your precious and powerful name, Jesus Christ, I pray, Amen.

Key Questions to Reflect On

  • What small signs of healing have I overlooked in my life lately?
  • Have I been expecting healing to look a certain way or come at a certain pace?
  • How might I allow God to comfort me instead of trying to control the process?

Soul Work
Take a moment to write down one area where you’ve seen even the smallest sign of progress. Thank God for it.
Then ask: Where do I still feel broken? Invite God to meet you there—not to fix you, but to walk with you through it, reminding you it’s already healed in Him.
